Four Star General Revisited Quilt

Updated: Jan 29, 2023

I participated in a Block of the Month (BOM) quilt along sponsored by TeaQuilts YouTube Channel and decided to sew along with this project. I almost said challenge instead of project as it was a great learning experience. Each individual block was 6"x 6" and each month you made one block in 4 variations of fabrics. On the ninth month, each block had 12 flying geese (measuring 1" x 2" finished) per block.

I decided to use some scrap fabrics from the Postcard from Sweden quilt. I was happy with decision after I completed the first block. The blend of traditional quilt blocks with a contemporary feel by using the bright colored Kona solids was very vivid and striking.

I choose 4 solid colors and used black as the background. I then rotated 3 of the four colors within the 4 blocks for each month. This quilt might not be going far as the end result was stunning.
